Monte Catalfano is a corner of true nature that is located not far from the town of
Bagheria. A real oasis of peace of about 300 hectares where you can spend a few hours relaxing
and enjoying this peaceful place.
Monte Catalfano extends for about 1.5 km with steep sheer walls, even a
hundred meters. The area of the park can be divided into 2 different areas: the slopes and the
high-altitude areas, where numerous marked paths, crossing the Mediterranean scrub are scenic routes, leading up to the cliffs, very steep escarpments overlooking the sea, and connect natural caves.

Inside the park, we find a very popular destination, the Trigonometric Point because it offers a beautiful spectacle of nature.

There are about 10 caves of marine origin, dug by the slow erosion of the sea waves and
the presence of small perforations in the walls caused by organisms such as sea dates.
Inside some of these caves there is still evidence of the passage of prehistoric man. The real peculiarity of the area are the tectonic caves, they are called “zubbi”.

  • Ask our staff if you are interested in a guided walk or a trek inside the park.
